I found a neat bit of freeware called a while back that can turn any VSTi into a standalone program. I haven't tried it with EZ Drummer but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You copy the SAVIHost program into the folder with the VSTi.dll file and rename SAVIHost, giving it the same name as the.dll file.

Double click and your new standalone version opens up. I use it all the time to test out freeware VSTi's I download from. Cute Tv Usb Driver.

Definitely faster than waiting for Cubase to boot up. But then a message comes up it says: Error 1311.source file not found C:UsersTHEREV~1AppDataLocalTempRar$DI30.0219PLUG.c ab. Verify that the files exists and that you can access it. But the PLUG.cab map is a WINrar file, and when i opening it. Its just the fil 'ezdrummer.dll' so i really dont understand what to do. I tryed to look at the comments at thepiratebay but i could'nt see any help for it. So i tryed to find the Plug.cab and download it. But i could'nt find it.

Helped me out many times when something was not working right! I had the very same problem as you. I went into Toontrack support and posted my problem.

One of the makers contacted me and explained how to install. Following those instructions the same problem occured.

I could not find the problem. Ext, the maker contacted me again.

This time, on a saturday morning of all things, we linked comotuers; he in Switzerland, or somewhere, and me in Mpls. He was able to use my computer to properly install ezdrummer. He placed an icon, Toontrac, on my desktop.

Now I can click that and have the drum set appear; everything. I can, without openiong Cubase, play the drums. I can try out grooves or samples I want to use. I have also merely used that to practice with. Ezdrummer folks are good and will go the extra to help you. Unfortunately for you, you did pay for the software.

Did someone lay it on you? If you don't legally own the software, how vcan yoy expect help? I had the very same problem as you.
